Jon M. Kurtz

Banker, Ocala, Florida
Mr. Kurtz is the proposed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. From its inception in February 2005, until its sale to Heritage Financial Group in September 2014, he was the Chief Executive Officer and President of Alarion Financial Services, Inc. and Alarion Bank, Ocala, Florida. He was formerly an Executive Vice President of SunTrust Bank, North Central Florida, in Ocala, Florida. Mr. Kurtz worked for SunTrust from 1992 until March of 2004, when he began to organize the Alarion Bank. Prior to 1992, he was Chief Credit Officer at California Federal Bank in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida from 1990 to 1992. His other prior banking experience includes holding senior management positions with Florida National Banks, Guaranty National Bank of Tallahassee, and SunTrust Bank. Mr. Kurtz earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Babson College in 1970 and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of South Florida in 1975.


J. Adam Woods

Banker, Ocala, Florida
Mr. Woods is the proposed President and Chief Loan Officer. From June 2012 until its sale to CBC National Bank in April 2016, he was the Senior Lending Officer of First Avenue National Bank, Ocala, Florida. Following that sale, Mr. Woods served as Ocala City President for CBC National Bank and its successor, First Federal Bank, until leaving in June 2018, to organize the Bank. From December 2006 to June 2012, he was a Senior Lender at Alarion Bank, Ocala, Florida. From May 1999 until November 2006, he was a Business Banker for Compass Bank. Mr. Woods is a graduate of the Florida School of Banking and the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.



R. Dale Barron

Real Estate Broker, Ocala, Florida
Mr. Barron is a proposed Director. He has been the Chief Executive Officer of Ellison Realty, Inc., a real estate brokerage firm, since 2007. From 2007 to 2015, he served as a Director of M&S Bank, Ocala, Florida. Following its sale to Ameris Bank in 2015, he has served as a member of its Advisory Board.


Ravi Chandra

Surgeon, Ocala, Florida
Dr. Chandra is a proposed Director. He is a surgeon, certified by the American Board of Endovascular Medicine and the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Chandra earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1979 from Osmania University, Gandha Medical College, Hyperabad, India 1981.


Jonathan S. Dean

Attorney, Morriston, Florida
Mr. Dean is a proposed Director. He is the senior partner at Dean & Dean, a law firm in Ocala, Florida. From 1998 until its sale to Harbor Community Bank in 2015, he served as a member of Board of Directors of Florida Citizens Bank, Gainesville, Florida. Mr. Dean is an active member of St. John Lutheran Church and the Ocala Rotary Club.


David Hoffman

Accountant, Ocala, Florida
David has been providing companies with superior accounting, tax and valuation services for almost 40 years. He started his career in Ocala and quickly became a partner in a large local firm. David is an experienced and effective expert witness having testified throughout Florida on cases involving business valuation and business damages. He has continued to find innovative ways to deliver value added services and create long lasting trusting relationships. He believes in being accessible and creating a firm culture that continues to focus on quality and value.

David holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from the University of Florida. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA).

David splits time between Ocala and Jacksonville, where his wife and two sons live. He enjoys spending time with his five grandkids and trying new restaurants. When not working, David enjoys working in his yard, playing golf and fishing.


Jesse R. King

Cable Television Company Owner, Summerfield, Florida
Mr. King is a proposed Director. He is the owner of Cablevision of Marion County, LLC, and other cable television and radio station companies in Texas, Mississippi, and Indiana. Mr. King is a graduate of Texas Christian University.


David E. Midgett

Attorney and Investor, Reddick, Florida
Mr. Midgett is a proposed Director. He is an attorney, practicing through The Midgett Law Firm, PLLC, in Ocala, Florida. He received his Bachelor degree and Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Florida.


Julie M. Partin

Architect, Ocala, Florida
Ms. Partin is a proposed Director. She is an architect and a principal in Partin Architecture. She is a graduate of the University of Florida and of North Carolina State University.


J. David Tillman

Civil Engineer, Weirsdale, Florida
Mr. Tillman is a proposed Director. He is a civil engineer. Mr. Tillman is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology. He serves on the Marion County LDRC as Chairman, holds the treasury position for the Ocala Silver Springs Rotary Club, is a chapter coordinator for Mathcounts sponsored by the Florida Engineering Society, and is also an FDEP Certified Stormwater Management Inspector. He is also a member of the Marion County Building Industry Association and the CEP.
